DEDORI

Detection Efficiency and patient DOses and RIsk (DEDORI) – Monte-Carlo simulation of radiation transport. Start simulation here.

RaDiation Helper

RadiationHelper – an useful tool to handle radiation measurements, detector calibration and basic radio-protection can be downloaded from here.

Rad QC

RadQC – performs various quality control tests (HVL, kV accuracy, MTF etc.) for XRay devices used in radiology. It can be downloaded from here.

Patient KAP Records

PatientKAPRecords – helps radiologists to keep track of patients which receive radiation doses (measured, or computed, free in air) from radiodiagnostic examinations. It performs computation of KAP (kerma-area-product if it is not recorded by a dedicated DAP-meter), record the patient information and generates elegant reports (can be converted as pdf, xls etc.). It can be downloaded from here.

Detector Calibration

DetectorCalibration – uses Geant4 simulation toolkit for computing detector efficiency in terms of peak efficiency and gross efficiency. It is designed mainly for gamma detectors (NaI or HpGe) but can be extended for beta or any other radiation type. Radiation source can be frontal beam, point source, Sarpagan baker (cylinder) and Marinelli baker. It can be downloaded from here.

Dose In Human Body

DoseInHumanBody – uses Geant4 simulation toolkit for computing organ doses, effective dose and lifetime atributable cancer risk for humans exposed to external radiation field. It is mainly used for patients undergoing X-ray examinations such as radiography, mammography, dental panoramic and CT but can be used for any kind of radiations and geometries. It can be downloaded from here.
